Odanacatib (ODN), a selective and reversible cathepsin K inhibitor was shown to histomorphometrically reduce trabecular (Tb) and intracortical (Ic) bone remodeling while preserving endocortical (Ec) and stimulating periosteal (Ps) bone formation (BF) in monkeys.
